Worker Hired in Call Center Companies for Commercial Use

As a leading law firm, LEGAL@work specializes in helping clients navigate the complex process of obtaining a Temporary Permit for personnel in trust positions, experts and/or technicians in call centers for commercial export use. This permit, known as PRT-CALL, is granted to foreign individuals who provide services in call centers for commercial export use. The permit is valid for periods established by special laws, up to a maximum of six years, and can be renewed annually.

In order to apply for this permit, there are several requirements that must be met. These include providing:

  • Three photographs
  • Copy of a valid passport
  • Criminal background check or sworn statement before a notary
  • Health certificate
  • Two certified checks – one for B/.250.00 to be paid to the National Treasury and another for B/.800.00 to be paid to the National Migration Service.

Additionally, an application form for personal background information, a certification from the Processing Zone Authority confirming that the company is properly registered, and a letter of responsibility from the company outlining the position and services provided by the applicant are also required.

In the event of a permit renewal, the same requirements must be met with the exception of the criminal background check and the certified checks. Additionally, the applicant must provide a certification or record from the Social Security System demonstrating nine consecutive contributions.
