Work Permit for Panama Pensionado Visa Holders and Dependants

Panama permanent residents with dependents can now apply for a work permit.

Permanent Resident Work Permit

This work permit is quite recent from May 28, 2019, Executive Decree No. 21, thus granting a Work Permit to anyone who has the category of Permanent Resident.

Benefits of Work Permit

This work permit is a very beneficial novelty, since it allows dependents of Permanent Residents, such as children and spouses, to process Work Permits and thus increase family income.

It will be granted for a term of three (3) years, extendable for the same term.

Requirements:

  • Power of attorney and application through a simple paper, original and copy.
  • Certificate issued by the National Immigration Service, stating the immigration status of the applicant ($8.00 stamp).
  • Legible photocopy of the Permanent Resident card authenticated by the National Identification Directorate.
  • Four (4)passport size photos with the name of the applicant written on the back.

Important:

For renewal, the following requirement must be added; paid nine (9) Social Security installments or income statement with their respective peace and saveby the General Directorate of Income.
