Panama Residency Permit of Personnel Hired by International Companies

The permit is valid for periods determined by special laws, up to a total of six years, and may be renewable annually.

To apply for this type of permit, there are a number of requirements that must be met. These include a notarized power of attorney and request, three photographs, a copy of the passport, a criminal background check, a health certificate, a declaration of personal background, proof of the existence of the company in the country of origin, a letter of reference from a local or international bank, a letter of employment from the parent company detailing the location of the branch and subsidiary, the role and responsibilities of the applicant, and their salary.

If the applicant has dependents, they must also provide a letter of responsibility from the temporary resident and proof of relationship, such as a birth certificate or marriage certificate. If the applicant is over the age of 25 but under 25 year sold, they must also provide a certification of full-time and regular studies from an educational institution and a certification of single status.

In the case of renewing the permit, the same requirements apply except for the criminal background check and the checks, and in addition to this, the applicant must provide a certification or record from the social security system demonstrating nine consecutive payments.
