The PPT-DOA-APP is intended for foreign individuals who wish to work as specialized technical personnel or in management aspects within the Panama Pacific area, where the percentage of foreign workers should not exceed 15% of the total number of regular workers. This permit is valid for a term of five (5) years, with the possibility of annual renewals.

To apply for the PPT-DOA-APP, the following documents are required:

  • Power of attorney and application
  • Health certificate issued by a qualified professional with a validity of 3 months
  • Payment of B/. 250.00 to the National Treasury
  • Payment of B/. 800.00 to the National Migration Service (with exception for children under 12 years old)
  • Personal background declaration form
  • Work permit, registered employment contract and a notarized copy of the ID card
  • Letter of responsibility from the company, certifying the position and services provided by the applicant, signed by the legal representative
  • Original certificate issued by the Panama Pacific Special Economic Area, certifying that the company is registered
  • Three ID-size photographs
  • Copy of the passport, verified by a Panamanian notary public
  • Criminal background certificate apostilled and legalized by the country of origin
  • "Paz y salvo" (clearance) issued by the Panama Pacific Special Economic Area
  • Notarized copy of the CSS card
  • Original or notarized copy of the Public Registry certification
  • True copy of the resolution of MITRADEL
  • Proof of address
  • If the applicant has dependents, a letter of responsibility and a notarized copy of their ID.

It is important to note that all documents that originate from outside of Panama must be legalized and apostilled by the country of origin.
