The Republic of Panama's Ministry of Public Safety's National Migration Service offers a permit for temporary residency for foreign individuals who are employed by multinational companies. Panama has over 170 multinational organizations.

This permit allows the individual to temporarily reside in Panama as a representative or executive of the international company.

The requirements for obtaining this permit include:

  1. A power of attorney and application, both notarized and with the necessary tax stamps
  2. Three photographs
  3. A certified copy of the individual's passport
  4. A criminal background check
  5. A health certificate
  6. A sworn declaration of personal background
  7. Certification from the Technical Secretariat of the Headquarters Commission
  8. A letter of employment from the company
  9. If the individual has dependents, a certification of the relationship (such as marriage or birth certificate) and a notarized letter of employment for the dependent
