Panama Jazz Festival 2024

Panama Jazz Festival will take the week of January 15-20, 2024 to bring you education, concerts, and lots of Jazz!

Panama Jazz Festival is an international event, one of the most anticipated activities of the year and that you can't miss. The XXI Panama Jazz Festival will be dedicated to highlighting the work of Panamanian jazz drummer and composer Billy Cobham.

Billy Cobham was born in Colón and was named in 2001 as one of the 25 most influential drummers by Modern Drummer Magazine.

In his extensive career, he has released more than 50 albums as a solo artist and has collaborated with artists such as Miles Davies, Carlos Santana, Ron Carter, Gil Evans, Fania all Star, James Brown, Peter Gabriel, Quincy Jones, Sonny Rollins, among many others.

Throughout its 20-year history, the Panama Jazz Festival has rescued and celebrated the historical memory of Panamanian jazz and its global influence. It has transformed into a unique cultural, educational and tourist experience, with unprecedented educational programs, including symposia and clinics, and serves as an audition center for the world's best music schools.
