Tourist Visa

To apply for a tourist visa, the following steps and documents are required:

  • Completing the visa application form
  • Presenting a valid passport or travel document with at least 3 months of validity
  • Provide a confirmed airline reservation with a continuing travel itinerary or electronic ticket
  • Provide confirmation of hotel reservation (if applicable)
  • A copy of a national identification or residence card from the country of residence
  • Submission of 3 photographs (except for tourist visa applications made to the National Migration Service in Panama)
  • Payment of B/.50.00 for migration services at the time of application
  • Submitting the last approved permit by the migration authority (if applicable)
  • Proof of financial solvency for the duration of stay in the country, which must be at least B/.500.00 and can be demonstrated through one of the following options:

1. Certified check or bank draft in the applicant's name

2. Traveler's checks in the applicant's name

3. Bank certification with the account statement of the last month showing available balances

4. Credit card statement of the last month showing available balances

5. Employment certificate with the latest pay stub or accreditation as an independent worker, if the applicant is a public or private employee

6. Document showing pension or retirement with proof of payment, if the applicant is retired or pensioned

7. Income tax return of the last fiscal year, if the applicant is self-employed

8. Bank reference, if the applicant is a merchant

9. Letter of responsibility, certificate proving relationship, and proof of financial solvency, if the applicant is economically dependent

10. Any other option that proves income and is acceptable to the National Migration Service

  • Submitting a letter of invitation, if applicable, which can be provided by:

10.1. Temporary or permanent residents or Panamanians from Panama, submitting the following according to the case:

10.1.1. Authenticated copy of the national's personal identification card

10.1.2. Copy of the general information page of the passport and travel document
