Are you in need of assistance with obtaining a permit for an international correspondent working in written, radio or television press? Look no further, LEGAL@work is here to assist you. This specific permit, known as the PRT-PRT, is intended for foreign journalists who are accredited by the authorities of their respective countries. This permit is valid for annual periods, with a maximum of six years.
In order to obtain this permit, there are a number of requirements that need to be fulfilled. These include, but are not limited to, providing a notarized power of attorney and application, three photographs, a copy of the passport verified by a notary or authorized individual, a criminal background check, a health certificate, and certified cheques for B/.250.00 to be paid to the National Treasury and B/.800.00 to be paid to the National Migration Service. Additionally, a declaration of personal background form needs to be filled out, and a letter of responsibility from the international press agency must be provided, outlining the length of service, proof of foreign salary and a commitment to repatriation once the correspondent's service is no longer required. Finally, certification of the existence of the international press agency must also be presented.
For renewals, or prorogations, of this permit, the requirements are largely the same as the initial application, except for the criminal background check and the cheques.
