As a Diplomat and Members of International Organizations of countries that maintain friendly diplomatic relations with the Republic of Panama, who have ceased to serve in their respective positions.

The Permanent Residence Provisional Permit for Foreign Professionals (PPT-PROF) is an option available to foreign professionals who wish to establish their residence in Panama, as long as their profession is not limited by the Constitution or laws of Panama to Panamanian nationals by birth or naturalization. To apply for this permit, applicants must comply with the formalities required in Article 28 of the Decree Law and submit the following documents:

1.     Power of attorney (notarized)and application form

2.     Three (3) photographs

3.     Copy of the passport properlyverified (notarized)

4.     Criminal record certificate

5.     Health certificate

6.     Certified check for B/.250.00 infavor of the National Treasury

7.     Certified check for B/.800.00 infavor of the National Migration Service

8.     Personal background declarationform

9.     Copy of the diploma oruniversity degree, bachelor's, master's or doctorate, properly apostilled orauthenticated (if the diploma is Panamanian it must have the "fielcopy" seal from the university)

10. Foreign diploma must provide thehomologation certification

After two years of having the Provisional Residence Permit, theforeign professional can apply for Permanent Residence. The requirements forthis permit are the same as before, with the exception of the Criminal recordcertificate and the checks. Additionally, the applicant must provide:

12. CSS certificate that accreditsthe payment of nine (9) consecutive quotas without prejudice that there hasbeen a change of company (Executive Decree N° 606 eliminates the 9 quotas forpermanent residence)
