As a religious at the service of the Catholic and Orthodox Church

The Permanent Resident Provisional Permit for Religious Purposes for the Catholic and Orthodox Church (PPT-D) is for foreign priests and other members of the clergy who are dedicated to pastoral work and are of consecrated life. To apply for this permit, the following requirements must be met:

1.     Power of attorney and application (notarized and with respective fiscal stamps)

2.     Three (3) photographs

3.     Certified copy of passport(notarized or authenticated as appropriate)

4.     Criminal background check or sworn statement before a notary

5.     Health certificate

6.     Certified check for B/.250.00 in favor of the National Treasury

7.     Personal background declaration form

8.     Letter from the highest authority to which the missionary or religious has been assigned, certifying the activity to be performed, the missionary or religious community to which they belong, the place and duration of their stay in the country.

To apply for Permanent Residency for Religious Purposes for the Catholic and Orthodox Church (PRP-D), the same requirements as above apply, with the exception of the criminal background check and the certified checks.
