Application for a Short-stay Visa for the Banking Sector

To apply for a short-stay visa for the banking sector, the applicant may enter the country to give or receive training, attend meetings, conventions, workshops, seminars, courses, internships, audits, verification, and inspection of programs and procedures in banking institutions that have a general, international or representative license, as long as the applicant meets the requirements and responsibilities set by the National Migration Service and the Ministry of Labor and Employment Development.

The requirements for this type of visa include:

  • Visa application form
  • Letter from the bank certifying the applicant's activities during their stay, signed by the legal representative
  • Letter of responsibility, if applicable
  • Certification of the bank's Public Register and power of attorney for authorized representatives
  • Certification from the Banking Superintendency indicating the type of license held by the bank and its validity
  • Certified copy of the applicant's diploma or qualifications
  • Payment of migration services fees of $250
  • Deposit of a guarantee of $500
  • Copy of passport or travel document with a minimum validity of 3 months
  • Confirmed airline reservation with onward travel itinerary
  • Copy of identification or residency card from the country of residence
